WordPress Web Hosting Terms of Service

By using the managed WordPress hosting services provided by 72 Hour Web Design (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you (“Client”) agree to the terms outlined below. These Terms of Service govern the use, maintenance, and support of your hosted website environment.
1. Hosting Environment
Your website is hosted on our enterprise-grade WP Engine server infrastructure, which is known for high security, performance, and WordPress-optimized environments. Upon request, you may receive your own dedicated login credentials to WP Engine if direct access is needed.
2. Uptime Guarantee
We guarantee a 99% uptime for your website. WP Engine maintains one of the highest availability track records in the industry. Downtime caused by third-party plugins, user error, or scheduled maintenance is not covered under this uptime guarantee.
3. Plugin, Theme & Core Updates
As part of your hosting package, we perform monthly updates to WordPress core files, plugins, and themes. Critical security patches may be applied more frequently. You are encouraged not to perform plugin updates yourself unless you have full access and technical knowledge.
4. Backups & Recovery
Your site is backed up daily via WP Engine’s secure backup system. Backups are retained for up to 30 days and can be restored on request. We also perform an additional manual backup prior to any major plugin or core updates.
5. Security & Hack Repair
If your website is compromised while hosted and maintained under our plan, we will clean and restore it at no cost to you. Our managed hosting includes firewall protection, real-time threat monitoring, and malware detection as provided through WP Engine’s infrastructure and partner tools.
6. Account Access
You may request direct access to WP Engine or limited user accounts for email, file access, or plugin control. We reserve the right to restrict access to critical hosting-level functions if it compromises system security or performance.
7. Fair Use & Limitations
This hosting service is designed for typical business websites. Excessive bandwidth, storage abuse, or misuse of server resources (e.g. crypto mining, adult content, spam mailing) is prohibited. Sites requiring custom configurations or above-normal server resources may incur additional fees.
8. Termination & Data Ownership
You may cancel your hosting plan with 30 days’ notice. We will provide a full backup of your website upon request. All website content you provide or pay us to develop remains your property.
9. Disclaimer
While we take all reasonable precautions, no hosting environment is completely immune to failure or attack. We disclaim liability for damages resulting from site downtime, loss of data, or third-party service interruption beyond our control.
10. Support
Support is available Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Emergency support is available 24/7 for hosting-related outages. Development or content edits are not included in hosting support but can be quoted separately.
